Doctor Who, Torchwood, Stargate Atlantis and oh what a wonderful week it's been.

Honestly, when it comes to fandom and random TV shows, best. week. ever.

--

First, we had the season finale of Doctor Who, which was brilliant in so many ways. They never seem to get rid of the Daleks. x_x They always come back, exterminating everything.

GERMAN DALEKS. <3 xD Extermineren! *faps*

Ahem. Yes. But really, German Daleks. xD BRILLIANT. Apart from them, though, the whole meeting of the companions part was also brilliant, complete with a jealous Rose. The cliffhanger at the end of Stolen Earth was a bit scary though, as you'd think that David Tennant was leaving. Thankfully, he wasn't.

The whole story of Journey's End was great; possibly the best season finale since the revival of the series. Loved the Torchwood references, and the reference to "The Unquiet Dead". Gwyneth! <3 However, the end was quite sad. Donna losing her memories was a real drag. I liked Donna. She was so different.

And now there will be no more DW until christmas. Or Cybermen.

--

Torchwood! I'm going crazy with the series merchandise. Got 5 audiobooks, and one novel. XD "The Twilight Streets" was amazing to read, as it had everything I wanted: Bilis Manger (that bastard), snogging (everyone except Ianto...*sigh*), references to that date in "Kiss Kiss Bang Bang" (which didn't happen <_<) and action!

And alternate futures. <3 Perfect. Finished the book in a day (253 pages is not much, really. Made me sad). Once the new trio of books come out, I am so buying them. Or at least "Almost Perfect". woman!Ianto is an interesting concept.

The audiobooks are great...depending on who reads them. No one beats Naoko Mori. Ever.

I want that miniseries to turn into a 13 episode season. ._.

STARGATE ATLANTIS IS BACK!

I watched the episode last week. =) Quite good. Not the best, but oh well. Next week, however, we get Beckett back again. <3

--

I love British comedy shows. I really do. They are so much better then the American crap. I laugh more at one minute of "8 out of 10 cats" then an entire episode of Mad TV. And now that they're all coming back, I am thrilled. Mock the Week, 8 out of 10 cats, Sunday Night Project, Would I lie to you...<3

Yay for Britain.

--

I can't stop playing Final Fantasy Tactics Advance 2: Grimoire of the Rift. xD It's getting a bit addicting. Always nice to burn enemies with a Moogle Black Mage. >=D

Doctor Who [4.11] - Turn Left.

Wow. What an episode. One of the greatest episodes of this season (which isn't the best season to be honest, although I do like Donna!), and also a reaaaally depressing one. Donna is amazing though. I would have freaked out so bad. xD But she did.

However...

ROSE! <3

Brilliant. Absolutely brilliant. And the preview for the next episode...TORCHWOODZOMGLOVE. Sure, it's downsized ( No Toshiko ;_; ), but TORCHWOOD! <3

Yeh. Waaaay too hyped to write anything understandable.

Oh, and Eve Myles firing a machine gun is too sexy for words.

Wow, haven't done this in a while.

I can't believe I forgot to update for over two months. =O

...Well, I didn't forget, just didn't have the time and my fingers keep making typos that I have to correct.

Thankfully, I have time now, as all of my grades are set in stone, and I no longer have to worry about anything related to school this year. However, depression is at max; I have no A's this year. ._. Only alot of B's and C's. But no A's. o_o I suffer in silence.

But next week is graduation week! Happiest day of my life. After 12 long, painful years, I can finally relax for more than three months. And wear my graduation cap. xP Which is so awesome. Currently my most cherished posession.

Anyways. Got nothing more to write, really. It's not like anyone reads this stuff, anyways.

Torchwood, education issues and general boredom. Does my life rock or what?

Finally created an account at studera.nu (a Swedish education site where you apply for universities and such), so I'll hopefully be able to apply for something very soon. In the meantime, I'll have to decide what to study - medicine or teaching. Although, as long I can study and leave this accursed place which I have called home for the last 18 years, I don't really care. I'll take the first train away and never look back. Ever.

Well, maybe to wave at mom while shouting something along the lines of "I hope we never see each other again!" - but in Turkish, of course.

--

Woo, Torchwood! Two episodes in one week, not bad. Also, these episodes were great.

Downside? I have to wait two weeks for the season finale. It's like a knife in my sci-fi loving chest.

Anyways. Adrift. I do believe that this is the best episode of season two. And not just because things turned X-rated (I believe every Janto fangirl/fanboy lost it at that point). It reminded me of CSI, with the missing people and all - just with a sci-fi, 'oh dear, the rift!' twist to it. And I love criminal dramas. CSI, NCIS, Law & Order; you name it, I like it.

The ending made me very sad inside, though. I pity the mother, I really do. Also, too little Owen in this episode.

Fragments isn't the best of episodes, but watching the recruitment scenes was very entertaining - mostly Ianto's, because it was the funniest of them all. However, Tosh and Owen had brilliant scenes, and I really felt sorry for Owen and despair at Tosh's situation. Also, the ending just screamed cliffhanger. Yay for James Marsters.

I'm also left wondering: do pterodactyls have serotonin levels?

I found my MP3! xD It feels so great to listen to music while walking again. How can people live without one?

Look at my new, brilliant and gorgeous userpic! This one, however, wasn't made by me - it was made by [info]apiphile .Tosh is awesome, and Naoko Mori portrays her excellently.

(no subject)

I should be having chemistry now, learning about isometry and alcohol and things like butane.

Instead, I'm in the school library, typing this little thing. Yay for me. Seriously. In my defence, I have been up since six AM and can hardly keep my eyes open.

And I got my graduation cap! <3 It's gorgeous, and is currently my most prized posession; I'm guarding it with my life. I can't even bring myself to wear it, fearing that my head will ruin it. Which I won't care about come graduation day.

Also: Torchwood was horrid this week. I felt bad for wasting time watching that episode when it ended. There's 50 minutes I'll never get back.

4.20 - The Last Man & 2.09 - Something Borrowed.

It's been a good week for sci-fi. It really has. I might have shed some tears (read: I cried my eyes out) during the Atlantis season finale, though.

Now I have to work like a madman with my coursework, so even posting this seems like a waste of time. Especially since I only have about 2 weeks left, so I REALLY got to work. Once I stop being lazy, that is.

4.19 - The Kindred, Part 2; Stargate: The Ark of Truth and Women's Murder Club ramblings.

9Yep, been quite busy with watching good TV shows on me computer (also been busy being sick. Thank heavens that is over...). Cue ramblings that are under the cut - they do contain spoilers, you know.

4.18 - The Kindred, Part 1: AKA Squeeefest

He's back, He's back, He's back! <3

Sure, for like ten seconds or so, but omg. Omg I say. Carson has returned!

Carson aside, this episode was fantastic. Teyla had a lot of screentime in this episode (unlike the previous three, where she hardly was seen or not even in the episode at all), and I don't think any woman looks that gorgeous in pregnancy clothes. She's still up and about, though. Hitting the guy with the stick and all. Way to go.

I felt really sad for her when she was in the Wraith cruiser, and had to see a wraithified Kanan. Trying to desperately save your unborn childs father and then learning that he isn't even completely human anymore can not be good for the baby. Or the parent. Her stress levels must be through the roof.

Michael is back, too! Looking more human than ever; even the hand-mouth is gone. He's still sinister, but the coolness makes that trait acceptable. It really does. Using the season 1 anti-wraith virus is probably only something he'd think of. Poor Hoff, no more. =( Having Carson come back when they reference to one of the best Carson centric episodes is a smart move, if you ask me.

Character interaction was great as well. Loved Ronon when he teased Rodney with the bracelet, and the Todd (OMG, Todd! <3) - Sheppard conversations were good too. Todd is great.

All in all, this episode was amazingly amazing, and I am so going to create an icon batch from it. Can't wail until part two.

On a side note, I am sick as a dog. My nose is so clogged, you could place an ester under it and I wouldn't be able to smell a thing.

4.17 - Midway

I had been waiting to see this episode for quite a while, mainly because it a) heralds the coming of "The Kindred" and b) Teal'c in Atlantis!

And thankfully, my waiting wasn't in vain.

The appearance of Teal'c was great  - the hair made him look very different, though. Not in a bad way, per se, but very different. If you consider that he appeared in ten seasons of SG-1 as either bald or with short hair. It didn't remove his natural coolness, but what's with the desert wanderer outfit?

The Ronon - Teal'c interactions were great though. Sure, Ronon needs anger management (is it just me, or is his voice getting raspier?), but being provoked usually makes you want to take out your ridiculusly awesome gun and point it at the alien that is supposed to help you with an interview. I'd want a gun like that. Stunning the teachers would be so great. But, yeah...

Fighting scene! Possibly the best thing in the entire episode, especially with John standing there and betting. I never thought stick fighting would be so...brilliant? I can't even find the right word for it - THAT'S how awesome it was. Martial arts are always great, but that fight made the episode perfect. No one won, though, which is a shame. The look on Chuck's face when John took more money from him was priceless, though. Canadian money sure seems colorful.

And then there was the Midway station. Really shocking to see Kavanaugh again...without the long hair! His attitude did seem to be a bit toned down, though. His interaction with Bill and the Wraith about alligeance was hilarious. Oh, and his name is Peter! We finally got two names to secrectly hate. Also, the fainting was hilarious - what a coward.

Ronon and Teal'c fighting the Wraith by themselves was great, Rodney feeling horrible about leaving John to die in the de-pressurized station was heartwrenching, Kavanaugh causing the whole thing to explode was stupid, Rodney bitching about Bill and Kavanaugh was oddly hypocritical and Ronon awakening poor John who locked himself in the front compartment of the jumper was gold. All in all, this episode was good.

And next week is Kindred week! I can hardly wait. <3

Torchwood, Women's Murder Club and getting lost - but not in the same day.

This week has been real eventful for me. Really. And it's still not over.

 - On monday, I was supposed to visit the biochemistry department of the Karolinska Institute (a well-known and respected medical institute in Sweden) for general information and a lecture on the effects of alcohol. Because I tend to be late for those kind of things, I decided to go early so that I could make it on time. But...life kind of hates me.

First, I missed my bus. I was about 15 meters from the station, and the bus left. So, I had to wait about twenty minutes for the next one. Thankfully, it arrived quickly, and the other bus which I needed to take was already there. I managed to get to the institute a quarter before the lecture was supposed to start.

It took me almost half an hour to find the biochemistry department. The thirty or so (give or take ten) people I asked had no frickin' idea where it was, and the friend I called for help couldn't give me good directions. Thankfully, an english couple managed to aid me a little, and I found the lecture hall - and I was seriously pissed when I found out that I had passed it three times. I ended up being late, AGAIN...but at least I didn't get yelled at, and the lecture was very interesting. I failed to understand some parts of it, but the lecture WAS intended for university students (in fact, we had a class sitting right behind us).

- I started to watch Women's Murder Club! I love those law and order type series, and although Women's Murder Club doesn't leave you glued infront of the screen, it's far from bad. I am liking it so far (I have seen three episodes out of the ten currently availible). And in the ninth and tenth episode, you get to see Joe Flanigan!

But his hair is flat. It's like a crime agains't nature.

- Watched the two new episodes of Torchwood today, Adam and Reset. Adam was not such a great episode, to be honest - and I really disliked the character Adam. Intensely.

The rest of the group? They were great. Tosh was much more confident (which is sexy), Ianto was slightly creepy but somewhat attractive in his psycho killer mode, and Owen...

Wow. Ridiculously cute, with the glasses and the nice guy attitude. Figures that likes Tosh only when his memory is completely screwed with. I, however, did NOT like Gwen plainly confession love towards Jack.

Reset, however, was brilliant. Why?

MARTHA JONES. I love that character. She is awesome, especially when she is in her field. 'Tis a good thing they managed to save her from having an "Alien" experience with the Mayfly. Her conversation with Ianto made me think of "Mr and Mrs Jones". xD The red cap thing was great, especially when Ianto became lost in though after she asked how he and Jack...dabbled. Is that what they are calling it these days?

Owen dying at the end of the episode was a huge bummer, though. Poor Tosh - she finally gets a date with him and he dies.

- It's Valentine's Day! For me, it means nothing, but for those lucky ones that aren't single...have a good day.

(To celebrate the day, despite being single, I actually ended up flirting today with a straight guy. He's hot, though, so it didn't really matter).
